SMALL 3oz $2.99, MEDIUM 5ox $3.69, LARGE 11.5oz $4.69.
The available flavours are maple, hazelnut, vanilla bean, strawberry and cream, as well as chocolate bliss. Before ordering, I sampled the maple and found the gelato to be extremely sweet, to the point that I did not want to finish the sample. The cashier was not very surprised and mentioned all the flavours are pretty much sweet and pointed towards the trash for me to toss the sample out. So, feeling obligated to purchase something because I asked for a sample, I went for the hazelnut along with the vanilla bean.
The hazelnut tastes a bit creamy and has a hazelnut flavour, which lingers in the mouth for a few seconds but dies down fast. Also, fortunately the flavour does not taste too sweet. As for the vanilla bean, the gelato is noticeably a lot creamier as well as sweeter, but there seemed to also be powdery bits or ice crystals. In addition, it was nice to see the actual vanilla bean throughout the gelato.
TOTAL: $3.85.
This is my first time having organic gelato and all the ingredients are organic, every single one of them. Having said that, I am not sure if this is what organic gelato tastes like… but, I did not find the gelato to be very creamy at all and the vanilla tasted extremely sweet. Furthermore, the flavours seem to linger in the mouth for a bit but quickly die down. Again, this may be because it is organic gelato. If anything, the consistency is not very creamy and resembles sort of like a slushy when scooping (which is not a big deal).
