Top Gun Hot Pot is a part of the Top Gun chain which includes Kingsway Sushi, Richmond Sushi (my favourite AYCE Japanese restaurant), Top Gun J&C, and Garden City Hot Pot. Top Gun Hot Pot is located inside Crystal Mall and I think they are the priciest AYCE hot pot restaurant. The restaurant
has always been used to be one of my favourites because of their sauce cart, comfortable seating, and cleanliness. Not sure as of when but Top Gun has a deluxe as well as regular AYCE menu now. Most of the differences I noticed was that the deluxe has salmon sashimi, hokkigai, angus beef, top grade beef, and quail eggs.
The restaurant is fairly large, spacious, and has one of the most comfortable seatings for a hot pot restaurant. Top Gun Hot Pot has a large amount of booth seating available, and quite a few tables for larger parties of eight to ten. I definitely recommend reservations if you are picky and prefer a booth seat (me).

SOUP COMBO, PORK BONE AND PEPPER SOUP, AND SZECHUAN SPICY SOUP ($9.95). SATAY SAUCE, PEANUT SAUCE, SOYA SAUCE, AND WASABI. The pork bone and pepper broth has a flavourful pork bone taste, and the szechuan spicy broth tastes medium spicy.
ON THE LEFT, CHINESE MUSHROOMS, ENOKI MUSHROOMS, PUMPKIN, CORN, DEEP FRIED CHINESE DOUGHNUT, SPINACH, AND TONG HO. ON THE RIGHT, PRAWNS, TOFU SKIN, MUSSELS, QUAIL EGGS, FISH SLICES, AND DRIED BEAN CURD STICK.
MUTTON SLICES, TOP GRADE BEEF SLICES, ANGUS BEEF, AND PORK CHEEK. The angus slices taste lean and tender, and the top grade slices taste fattier and chewier. The mutton and pork cheeks taste like what it is and not too chewy.
CURRY FISH BALLS, HOKKIGAI AND SALMON SASHIMI. The curry fish balls have a light mild curry fish ball taste. For the sashimi, the hokkigai has a chewy snappy texture and a slight hint of sweetness, and the salmon tastes fresh, creamy, and fatty.
DEEP FRIED SQUID AND DEEP FRIED CHICKEN'S DRUMETTE. The deep fried squid is lightly battered, and tastes crispy and tender with a nice snap. The deep fried chicken tastes dry and has a thick crunchy batter.
SHUI KAU. The dumpling has pork, chinese mushroom, bamboo shoot, and prawn.
COCONUT JELLY CAKE, MANGO PUDDING, AND GOJI BERRY JELLY CAKE. The coconut pudding has a slight coconut taste and does not taste bland. The mango pudding tastes slightly sweet, lacks the mango taste, and tastes more watered down than Kingsway Sushi's and Richmond Sushi's (no mango jello pieces in the pudding too). For the goji berry, this was the highlight. The pudding has a strong flavourful refreshing wolf berry taste and tastes slightly sweet, definitely one of the better jellys.
