Timothy's frozen yogurt is one of the three (or four?) ice cream stands in Steveston. In addition, Timothy's offers frozen yogurt, gelato, sorbet and housemade fresh waffles. Emphasize on the housemade fresh waffles, since it is what the shop is known for.
After finishing a small lunch at Pajo's, we headed to Timothy's for dessert. When walking in, the cashier was friendly, welcoming as well as inviting. Actually, he is the friendliest cashier out of everyone I have met from here!
LARGE BLACK FROZEN YOGURT ($4.25).
I went for a frozen yogurt because having ordered many flavours of gelato from here, I find them very dry. Furthermore, I opted for blackberry because the cuts of frozen mango did not look very good and had plenty of freezer burns. As for the taste, the frozen yogurt tastes like how it should; neither too sweet, sour, bland nor boring. There is a nice blackberry flavour along with a slight tartness.
WHITE CHOCOLATE RASBPERRY WITH WAFFLE CONE ($4.75).
My friend went for the white chocolate raspberry which has a strong white chocolate flavour, along with a hint of raspberry. The consistency is creamy but yet, the gelato tastes slightly dry. As for the fresh waffle cone, there is a nice crunch along with a hint of vanilla.
POSITIVES
- One of the only shops in Steveston that sells gelato and frozen yogurt
- Housemade waffle cones
- Friendly staff (in our case)
NEGATIVES
- Froyo is better than the gelatos
Food: 2.5/5
Service: 5/5 (one of the male cashiers is always friendly but a girl who works here is always rude)
